Our Students: To ensure appropriate academic fit, Ideaventions typically enrolls students who score in the 98th percentile on IQ tests. This level of ability allows us to offer the depth, pace, and complexity that define our program. They are kind, engaged, curious, and find their intellectual peers here.
Our Teachers: Our faculty members are specialists in their fields. Two-thirds of our staff have at least a master's and 25% have PhDs.
Our Approach: Learning should be fun and engaging through hands-on, experiential learning. Bestowed with its highest honor by our accreditation agency, Cognia, our academy is infused with intellectual energy, hands-on projects, and lively class discussion. While we specialize in math and science, we excel in reading, writing, and have a vibrant theatre department too!

Since our inception, at least half of each graduating class has been named National Merit Semi-finalists or higher and have consistently earned the highest average SAT in Virginia.
