Community Homeroom

Picture
Community Homerooms bring our community together and focus it on service to others. We build and improve our community by concentrating on our social interactions, responsibilities, and engaging in community discussions.

Building Community

Students meet in their community homeroom with the School Counselor that facilitates community building and the implementation of a community service project.  The community building is accomplished through facilitated discussions, designed interactions to improve student social intelligence and communication, and build relationships through conversations, games and activities.

A Community about Serving Others

The ultimate goal of our community is serve others as part of the broader local and global community. We see the main focus of our place in this world is to help our fellow humans and improve the world, close to home or faraway.  Each year in their community homeroom, our teachers and students select a community service project and complete it.
