Iowa Assessments (Grades 1-8)

Each year, we use the Iowa Exams to measure progress towards college and career readiness. ​
  • Reading: 4 years above grade level
  • Language Arts: 4 years above grade level 
  • Math: 3.5 years above grade level
  • Social Studies: 3.5 years above grade level
  • Science: 4 years above grade level 
  • Complete Composite: +3.69 years above grade level across all subjects

On average, our students read 26 books per year.

Science

Northern Virginia Regional Science Fair
  • 2024: 11 awards
  • ​2023: 6 awards
  • 2022: 6th-grade won the national Planting Science Award and was commended for “serving as an example to future participants."

Engineering

Students begin Engineering & Computer Science in 1st grade. In Middle School, they progress to Java & Python and put their skills to use:

  • Top 3% Worldwide  (2023-24) - 2 teams

Aerial Drone team (Upper School) in Bell Helicopter's AVR competition:

National Spanish Exams 

Students can begin high school Spanish as early as 6th grade and begin lessons in 1st grade. Our students excel in the National Spanish Exams:
  • 22 Gold Medals (Top 95%-100% percentile)
  • 31 Silver Medals (Top 85%-94% percentile
  • 19 Bronze Medals (Top 75%-84% percentile)
  • 17 Honorable Mentions (Top 50%-74% percentile)
One of our students was also the recipient of the 2024 NSE Senior Scholarship.

Mathematics

On average, our 3rd-8th grade students have a grade equivalency 3.9 years above grade level in Math (based on Iowa Assessment). Students complete Algebra by 8th grade (many in 6th or 7th grade or earlier), and most take a Post-AP Calculus level course before graduating our high school.
