Through shared experiences in service, our student volunteers build strong bonds with peers, their home community and global communities.
Each year students complete a community service project that they take part in researching and selecting. Besides the immediate and direct benefits of the service performed, the students help increase awareness for community needs and issues and grow in their personal awareness and purpose. Within community homerooms, students brainstorm, research, and select a project that they then complete project over the course of the academic year. The experience immerses students in social issues and causes, building an informed and motivated citizenry.
Local Service Meetups
Outside of school, students communicate and organize service meetups to invite other students to share in service that they are involved with, such as volunteering at a science fair or helping local food banks.
