COVID-19 Update
Due to the pandemic outbreak, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Spring Break camp for this year.

We offer full-day, spring break STEM camps for elementary students.  Learn something new, get your hands dirty, and make some new friends that share a love for science or engineering!

SPRING BREAK STEM CAMP 2020 
1ST - 6TH GRADES

Join us for a hands-on camp focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  Campers are grouped by age. To comply with Virginia Law: Campers must be at least 6 years old at the start of the camp.

Dates: Monday - Friday, April 6-10, 2020

​Location: Ideaventions (12340 Pinecrest Road, Reston, VA)

Camp Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (*extended care before and after camp are available)

Engineering Extreme Structures

Discover the engineering design behind structural marvels of the world! We study the architecture of bridges, skyscrapers, geodesic domes, tunnels, dams, gliders and more while experimenting to see how different materials respond to stress and strain. Each lab, we create our own extreme structures and use the engineering cycle (Design, Build, Test, Modify) to discover the best, most efficient design!


Computing Lab: Coding and Minecraft Education Edition. Students will explore computer science using computational exercises from Code.org. 

Tuition: $455

Extended care options available before and after camp.

• Before care (Morning Explorers) is available from 8 - 8:30 am: $30 per week.  Drop-in available for $8 per day.
• After care (Explore Some More) is available from 3:30 to 6:00 pm: $135/week.  ​Drop-in available if 2 or more campers are registered and there are available spaces - $30 per day
