Description:
Impossible? Many of the technologies we have today were once thought to be impossible. We'll examine technologies from popular movies, like Star Wars, or impossible feats from video games, like Mario. With breakthroughs in nanotechnology, physics, and genetic engineering, could some of these impossibilities become possible? Learn about these frontiers of science, then conduct hands-on investigations in chemistry, engineering, and physics that are inspired by the movies and video games we love. Observe the forces in a crash and acceleration due to gravity. Explore chemical reactions and model nanomaterials in this futuristic adventure that considers the impossible.
Computer Lab: Coding and Minecraft Education Edition.
- Students will explore computer science using computational exercises from Code.org. In Minecraft Education Edition, work collaboratively to design and build a futuristic civilization.
