Description:
Based on William Gurstelle’s book Backyard Ballistics, and with a strong emphasis on safety, we engineer mechanisms to launch projectiles. Additionally, we will delve into the “physics of the projects, with profiles of the scientists and extraordinary experimenters such as Michael Faraday, Alfred Nobel, Henrik Lorenz, and Isaac Newton.” Sample projects include: paper match rockets, potato cannons, and the Pnewton's Petard.
