Our academic advisors help students set and achieve personal goals support by understanding each student’s personal needs, challenges, and objectives.

Tailoring Paths

The small nature of our micro-school allows teachers and students to get to know each other very well. One of the many benefits of this is high-quality academic advising. We hold an electives fair in the spring, where teachers describe classes they might offer for the next school year and try to “sell” their electives to the students. This gives students the power to make sure their interests and their course schedule align as much as possible. Our goal is tailor each student’s educational path to their unique interests and passions as much as possible, while requiring a core curriculum that ensures they are prepared for top colleges and universities.

Personalizing Education

We meet with students and parents to identify proper course placement and any unique needs in their program of study. We observe student progress across courses to ensure academic success and respond quickly if additional support is needed.

We work with students and their family on multiple academic matters:

• Course selection and placement
• Planning research and mentoring
• Graduation requirements and progress toward graduation
• Adding and dropping courses
