Ideaventions Academy features a world-class, advanced STEM-based curriculum focused on research and innovation, including full-year engineering and computer science beginning in 1st grade.

Our students have had success in a wide variety of learning experiences, resulting in increased student engagement and an emotional connection to their learning experience.

Through hands-on work, authentic research, independent projects, self-paced learning experiences, lively debates and discussions, students take what they learn in class and apply it to both real-world projects.

It's no wonder our students have earned the highest SAT and ACT scores in Virginia, and among the top few in the country.

Science & Engineering

​The middle-school science sequence consists of high-school level Biology, Chemistry and Physics taken in 6th through 8th grades.

• Of the students who complete the middle-school science sequence, 62% are ready for the college-level course that corresponds to the class taken by the start of high school.
• Students won six awards at the Northern Virginia Regional Science Fair.
• Our 6th-grade team won the national Planting Science Award and was commended for “serving as an example to future participants.
  

Three student teams advanced to the international SeaPerch competition which recognized the top 5% of teams worldwide.

On average, our 3rd-8th grade students have a grade equivalency 3.9 years above grade level in Math (based on Iowa Assessment).

100% participation of 4th-8th grade students participate in Math Olympiad and MATHCOUNTS with outstanding results:
