Kind & Curious Kids
Does your child love to learn? Are they strong in math and science? Naturally curious about the world around them? Helpful and motivated? If so, they might be a good fit for our unique school for gifted learners. Successful candidates demonstrate they are ready to immerse themselves in our advanced curriculum and lively community of gifted students who love to learn.

What is considered "Gifted"?
Experts agree that students who score a 130+ on a cognitive assessment tend to need additional challenge to meet their unique learning needs. These students often excel in specific areas, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and abstract reasoning and may benefit from differentiated instruction, accelerated coursework, and enrichment programs that challenge their intellectual abilities. Our program is designed to nurture these exceptional qualities, ensuring that gifted students are both challenged and supported in a dynamic and engaging educational environment.

Our program is highly selective; we currently offer admission to approximately 40% of our applicants.

Who We Are
Located in Reston, Virginia, we are experts in education for intellectually curious learners with an interest in science and math. Through a collegial environment and diverse outside-the-classroom opportunities, we build character, collaboration skills, and strong relationships among students and teachers.

We challenge students to develop their analytical thinking, creativity, and communication skills by immersing students in engaging courses with expert teachers. Kind students who love to learn will thrive in our rigorous and engaging curriculum. Independence, leadership, and a persistent drive for understanding and improving the world are fostered by the school’s nurturing and empowering environment.
