Founded in 2015, Ideaventions Academy for Mathematics and Science is an accredited, independent school for the gifted offering 4th-12th grade students. The Academy is designed for intellectually curious learners with a passion for science, engineering, technology and mathematics.

Ideaventions Academy provides passionate and expert teachers, challenging and deep academics, a warm and accepting learning community, small class sizes, and a lively student body. Ideaventions Academy provides gifted to profoundly gifted children an inspiring environment to grow, thrive, and explore.   

Inspired by the educational ideals of Thomas Jefferson, the Academy encourages independent thinking by nurturing the inventive and fearless spirits of its students. Our vision is inspired by prestigious high-achieving programs such as Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, the University of Virginia, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University’s work with gifted youth and Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. The philosophy for the Academy is further shaped by Annemarie Roeper's philosophy for teaching gifted children, Montessori principles and building 21st Century Skills of self-driven learning, connections with the community, and experiential learning. The Academy’s rigorous curriculum engages students with meaningful and challenging hands-on learning, expert teachers, and a healthy, vibrant community.
